First I tried the instruction here: https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-upgrade-ubuntu-to-20-04-lts-focal-fossa I got a ~"No new release found message". On that, their suggestion is: The first and recommended approach is to simply wait. Direct upgrades from Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa LTS will most likely be unavailable until late July 2020.
Then I tried here: https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/upgrade-ubuntu-18-04-to-20-04-lts-using-command-line/ Got this message in my (bash) console: "Checking for a new Ubuntu release There is no development version of an LTS available."
