Now onto the real question:
I recently deployed a WS19 domain controller and setup folder redirection for all folders, including roaming. This is because I want users to seamlessly access the same settings and data whichever network workstation they log onto. Some things were not working - most notably any electron based programs would fail with the following error. 
This led to me trying roaming profiles on a mapped network drive. (if you right click the user and in properties > profile) I have since learnt this is an old feature and is bad practice. The issues were not fixed with this and I am yet to find an alternative to this and I continue to face these issues.
